Well, slept so well - so peaceful here and surrounded by a lot of nationalities so great fun conversations to be had. Dog friendly site - well all the sites we lodge at are dog friendly otherwise we wouldn’t be there! But this place is full of doggies. Tom continues to charm when he takes his seat in the garage of the van - many stop and smile at his beautiful face 😍 Our neighbours have a short coat BC and she is called Molly, but no romance - she’s a little bit feisty for our Tom. The facilities here are the best we have come upon. There is even a mangle outside the laundry room to get the excess water our of hand washed items. How great is that. I recall my mum had one - I think it stood beside the boiler on washday. The children’s area here is so pretty and inviting. I have posted pictures of that on social media. We have decided to stay another night as we are getting the opportunity to really relax, sit outside in the sun - well, I did completely blitz the van again due to the amount of sand being brought in, but feel better for that. We left for a walk mid afternoon up to the sea front and along a bit - we are saving the long walk into town for tomorrow morning though. The beach is lovely, with lots of tree stumps washed onto it and they have bleached over time and become entrenched in the sand. Very beautiful and I am sure a sculptor somewhere would be able to make something very beautiful from it all. Very few people about in this area - there is no commerce here at all so that might be why. I am sure the town will be busy tomorrow. We came back to the site and I started cooking our supper and we sat outside until it was ready. There are numerous little finches that gather around you as you sit and read, in the hope that some crumbs are discarded. They are really charming little things and there is an urge to feed them - but we all know seagull or finch, you do not! After all, who will be there to do the same tomorrow and the next day .......... Living in Newquay, we know he consequences of feeding the seagulls - I won’t go on! There were a few English speaking folk chatting beside our van this afternoon and we happened to overhear a lady say her husband had had a stroke a couple of days ago - he’s in a local hospital and will have to be repatriated to the UK as he is quite unwell - to cap it all her awning blew away in the strong winds on Sunday night. She was very stoic about it all, but one feels for them both.
So, a very short blog tonight, but hopefully a longer one tomorrow. Nighty night
