We’ve waited a lifetime for this!

We left Cornwall on the morning of 31st January - of course, it wasn’t as easy as that! We had had a break in Wales the previous November and found a fab ‘new to us’ Moho as suited to us as could be at this big moment in our lives. Our dear Bessie, the previous Bessicar had sprung a leak - that ghastly speckled bumpy pox that had secretly crept into her roof - no, is the answer to your question, I never looked up! so, with that knowledge, and our epic voyage in sight, we bit the bullet (and it was quite an expensive bullet) and bought this lovely babe on wheels suitably christened ‘Dolly’ by my gorgeous sister-in-law Julie, who is holding the fort at home while we sajourn into France and Spain. Nothing planned - no itinerary - just the tunnel booked and a campsite in the area called ‘The Drum Inn’, Ashford. Great spot in the pub car park - no dramas from them as we needed to depart by 5am next morning. Now for the sad bit - when we went to Wales, we had two boys (hairy ones) Tom, our beautiful, sleek, elegant, Border Collie, and Jack, the deliciously wilful and comical Jack Russell, simply named Jack. Now I don’t want you to think I don’t have any imagination here!! Both named after the dearly departed - Tom - my Dad who we lost far too young and Jack after a gentleman who became my second Dad - I could write a book about him! Anyway, back to the sad bit. Both boys are getting on a bit (13 years each one) I took the boys for their Rabies Jabs early December which they had, but something was detected in Jack’s tummy that wasn’t supposed to be there and by the end of the following week, he was gone! The hole in our lives will take a lot of filling I can tell you. But he is with us in spirit and the loveliest friend gave us a sweet little picture of Jack “so we can take him with us” which we have.
OMG I love it and cannot wait ‘til the next instalment 😘
Happy adventures await. Still jealous!!! Amazing times ahead Xxxx
